NOTE: if your sensor is not listed below, consult the manual or contact the factory for guidance.
The QSP-2100 sensor outputs a digital signal. This sensor is typically operated using our Windows-based LOGGER-2100 software. Sensors are connected directly with a PC or laptop, and may even be powered by the host computer’s communications port if it has sufficient voltage (greater than 5.4V).
The QSP-2100 is equipped with the Subconn # MCBH5FSS bulkhead connector;
Pin-1 = TX —> (data to PC)
Pin-2 = RX <— (data from PC)
Pin-3 = DTR (data terminal ready)
Pin-4 = RTS (request to send)
Pin-5 = GND
Our QSP-2150 sensor outputs an ASCII data stream, upon power-up. Details of the QSP-2150 sensor may be found in this user manual: QSP_QCP2150_Man.pdf
The QSP-2150 sensor is equipped with the Subconn # MCBH4M bulkhead connector:
Pin-1 = GROUND
Pin-2 = POWER (6–15V DC @ 5mA)
Pin-3 = QSP-2150 Tx
Pin-4 = QSP-2150 Rx
QSP-2200 sensors output a linear, analog voltage signal (0–5.8VDC). This sensor model is suitable for integration with data acquisition systems having 16-bits of resolution or more. Please verify compatibility of this sensor with the manufacturer of your CTD system. This sensor is equipped with the LSG-4-BCL bulkhead connector:
Pin-1 = POWER GROUND
Pin-2 = SIGNAL (0 to +4.8VDC)
Pin-3 = SIGNAL GROUND
Pin-4 = POWER (+6 to +25VDC / 4.0 mA)
The QSP-2300 outputs an analog voltage signal (0 to <5.0 VDC) that is proportional to the log is the irradiance. This sensor type is typically used in conjunction with lower resolution, 12-bit data acquisition systems. The QSP-2300 sensor is equipped with the LSG-4-BCL bulkhead connector:
Pin-1 = POWER GROUND
Pin-2 = SIGNAL (0 to +5 VDC)
Pin-3 = SIGNAL GROUND
Pin-4 = POWER (+6–15 VDC / 4.0 mA)
The QSP-2350 outputs an analog voltage signal (0 to <5.0VDC) on a logarithmic scale. This sensor type is typically used in conjunction with 12-bit data acquisition systems. The QSP-2350 is equipped with the IMPULSE #MCBH-4-MP bulkhead connector;
Pin-1 = POWER GROUND
Pin-2 = SIGNAL (0 to +5 VDC)
Pin-3 = SIGNAL GROUND
Pin-4 = POWER (+6–15 VDC / 4.0 mA)
The QSP-2200PD sensor does not contain any signal processing circuitry. This “photodiode only” sensor outputs a small electrical current and is typically connected to a CTD unit’s internal log amplifier. Please verify compatibility of this sensor with the manufacturer of your CTD system. The QSP-2200PD sensor is equipped with the LSG-4-BCL bulkhead connector:
Pin 1 = CATHODE
Pin 2 = ANODE
Pin 3 = CHASSIS GROUND
Pin-4 = OPEN
