RECKLESS Sonobuoy USV
The Reckless Sonobuoy is an unmanned surface vehicle with an instrument dispensing system for scientific and military defense applications. It’s autonomous waypoint navigation allows for long endurance missions up to 48 hours. The USV can be pre-programmed with radio off functionality or real-time tasking through a frequency hopping 2.4 GHz transmitter controller with 3W amplifier. Due to its low dielectric super structure, it has the capability to include a wider range internal antennae.
This multi-mission USV can hold and dispense 10 class A sonobuoys for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) or 10 microAUVs to cover large environmental surveying areas in a short time period.
