(BSI), a global leader in aquatic optical sensing solutions, today announced it has entered an exclusive reseller agreement with OceanTech Co., Ltd., a South Korea-based firm with deep experience supporting the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA) and other national institutions.
This strategic partnership authorizes OceanTech to distribute and support BSI’s radiometers and profiling systems across the South Korean market. The agreement focuses on serving the growing demand for high-accuracy light measurement systems in support of oceanographic research, marine observation infrastructure, and coastal environmental monitoring.
OceanTech: Trusted Partner in Korean Ocean Observing Systems OceanTech has over 25 years of experience integrating, servicing, and deploying oceanographic instrumentation for Korean government agencies, universities, and research institutes. The company maintains long-term technical relationships with KHOA and supports key national platforms, including the Ieodo Ocean Research Station and Korea’s network of coastal and deep-sea observing systems.
Earlier this year, OceanTech engineers visited Biospherical’s San Diego headquarters to complete hands-on training on BSI’s core sensing platforms, including deployment best practices for profiling systems, radiometer calibration procedures, and system integration for coastal and deep-water observatories. This investment in technical readiness ensures OceanTech is fully equipped to support the Korean market with expert-level product knowledge and in-country service capability.
Supporting KHOA’s Mission with BSI’s Optical Expertise KHOA’s initiatives demand high-fidelity optical data—from spectral irradiance profiling to UV penetration and water clarity measurements.
