How to graph values

If you use a pencil and a piece of paper...

...for making a graph choose "Retrieve Semi-Monthly Noontime Scans" in the Data Request Form. This will give you only two values per month, which can easily be copied "by hand" from your computer screen. Draw a x- and y-axis on your paper and apply a scale to both axes. If you plot the UV Index, the y-scale typically ranges between 0 and 10.

If you want to use your computer...

... for graphing the data, choose "Retrieve Only Noontime Scans" in the Data Request Form. This will return the noon-time UV Index for each day. Click on the link "Download the data" at the top of the page. Depending on the version of your web-browser, a window will open and you are asked where on your hard drive you want to save this file. Save the file, open it with some spreadsheet software (e.g. EXCEL), and graph the data!
