Frequently Asked Question

How do you use a natural fluorescence sensor to calculate chlorophyll and production?

Biospherical considers "Natural Fluorescence" as the solar-stimulated fluorescence of plankton in natural waters. Measurements of Natural Fluorescence have been shown to lead to reasonably good estimates of the photosynthetic crop, and to primary production rates. For details of the calculations of these parameters, see this application note.
