Three BioAIR instruments—known as the COASTal Airborne In-situ Radiometer (C-AIR) to NASA—flew onboard a modified UV-18A Twin Otter (
CIRPAS) in support of the Coastal and Ocean Airborne Science Testbed (
COAST) headed by a NASA/ARC team. In addition to C-AIR, a Headwall imaging spectrometer, and the AATS-14 Ames Airborne Tracking Sun-photometer simultaneously collected data over Monterey Bay during the
COAST Science Mission.
