aquatic
instruments
For environmental surveys, vertical profiles, coastal monitoring, or
remote sensing sea truth, we have:
- PRR Profiling Reflectance Radiometers
measures 8 to 19 wavebands of downwelling irradiance and upwelling
radiance simultaneously, water temperature, and pressure/depth.
Very wide dynamic range and high speed sampling are important features
of this family of instruments. PRR-800 and PRR-2600.
- PUV Profiling UV Radiometer measures
downwelling irradiance at 305, 313, 320, 340, 380, 395 nm, and PAR
(400-700 nm), water temperature, and pressure/depth. The highly
sensitive UV filter-photodetectors used in the PUV incorporate extremely
high out-of-band blocking to minimize errors resulting from spectral
leakage.
- Natural Fluorometers simultaneously
measures scalar PAR (400-700 nm) and natural fluorescence as well as
water temperature and pressure/depth to aid researchers interested in
phytoplankton ecology and primary productivity.
- BIC and BIS Submersible Radiometers
measures cosine (BIC) or scalar (BIS) irradiance in 4 wavebands, plus
water temperature, and pressure/depth. Very low power, low cost
and over 30 wavelengths to choose from
are features of these submersible radiometers.
- Single Channel sensors are often used to
add individual optical measurements to CTD/STD profilers or for simple
monitoring applications.
